Tranz Bureau Initiatives Uganda (TBIU) is a community-led organization founded in 2011 by activist Beyonce Karungi to advocate for the recognition, protection, and empowerment of transgender women and transgender sex workers in Uganda. Today, TBIU continues to create safe spaces, strengthen community voices, and promote equal access to justice, healthcare, and economic opportunities.

Many transgender women in Uganda continue to face discrimination, violence, limited healthcare access, and economic exclusion. TBIU works alongside communities to promote human rights, advocate for inclusive policies, and create opportunities that improve lives.
