Ariana Mutoni

Deputy Executive Director

Biography

Ariana Mutoni serves as Deputy Executive Director and leads Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) work at Tranz Bureau Initiatives Uganda (TBIU). In this role, she contributes to the organization’s leadership and efforts to ensure transgender women and transgender sex workers can access respectful, stigma-free health services and understand their health and human rights. TBIU’s work recognizes access to healthcare as a central component of equality and community empowerment, including health support, essential supplies, referrals, and HIV-prevention strategies for key populations. Ariana’s leadership role supports TBIU’s broader mission of strengthening an enabling environment in which marginalized communities can access services without discrimination. Working within a community-led organization, her portfolio aligns with TBIU’s commitment to advancing SRHR, human dignity, advocacy, and meaningful access to healthcare for transgender communities across Uganda.
